According to GroupTravel.org over 65% of all family reunions are held in the summer.

If you’d like to collect family stories during the reunion, we suggest asking each family member to bring a photo, heirloom or favorite recipe.  Then, ask each to do “show and tell”.   If you’d like to collect detailed family history, professional Bridget Poizner suggests professional recording equipment and a list of open-ended interview questions.

Many VoiceQuilt families record favorite reunion memories as a thank-you gift  for the reunion organizer.  We always urge them to include voice messages from children.  Although they’re small, they remember some of the funniest things that happen when families get together!
