Finishing Touches

To make your VoiceQuilt Keepsake as meaningful as possible, be sure to:

1.) Include children.
Ask parents or caregivers to call in for them. Some of our best messages occur when parents call on the fly - during those spontaneous moments when toddlers are in the mood to sing or chat.

2.) Include people from the Recipient's neighborhood, religious organization, work, schools, clubs, etc.
If you don't have those e-mail addresses, ask friends and family to forward on their invitation - each Invitation Number allows multiple phone calls. We've been amazed at the power of messages from relatively casual acquaintances. These stories often add a vibrant and unexpected swatch to the final VoiceQuilt.

3.) Create an Introductory and Concluding Message.
Recipients are especially touched when the organizer of the VoiceQuilt includes a beginning and ending message. Your voice will set the tone for all the messages that follow - and will create a lasting impression at the end.

For a beginning or introductory message, we suggest something like:
“Hi, it's (Your Name). You are very special to me -- and a whole host of others. You are about to hear from just a few of us. So sit back, relax and listen to all the people that care.” (This tells the Recipient that he or she will hear a series of voices after yours.)

The ending message could be something like this:
“It's (Your Name) again and we've come to the end of the VoiceQuilt. As you've heard, we all care about you very, very much. And we look forward to sharing many more memories with you in the future.”

4.) Add an Engraved Brass Plaque.
For only $12.95, you can add a brass plaque engraved with your recipient's name, the date of the event and a meaningful quote. It's a quick and easy way to personalize your gift even more. Download an order form here.

That's it! By including these special touches, you'll be sure to give an unforgettable gift that will warm the heart.
