Keepsake Mechanics

The VoiceQuilt Keepsake operates like a music box. When you lift the lid, messages play automatically. Inside, there are easy-to-use buttons for selecting previous message, next message and volume level. There is also plenty of room for photos and special mementos.

Your Keepsake comes with 2 replaceable Alkaline AA batteries. They are designed to provide up to 24 hours of continuous use. (Actual results may vary based on volume level and other factors.) That way, you can play messages over and over again. You can even lift the keepsake lid and let messages play continuously while you do other things.

If batteries are low, the voice messages will play slowly. This is a sign that batteries need replacing. If your Keepsake won't play at all, this is probably a sign that batteries are completely exhausted.

Replacing Batteries
  • Remove mementos or any other items that you store in your keepsake box.
  • Turn the Player off by turning the volume dial all the way to the right, clockwise, until it clicks off.
  • Unscrew the latch on the battery door.
  • Remove the battery door cover.
  • Lift the ribbon to remove the two alkaline AA batteries currently in the player.
  • Correctly insert two new alkaline AA batteries, carefully observing the "+" and "-" markings, placing the "-" end in the unit first.
  • Turn the Player on by rolling the volume dial to the left, counter-clockwise, until it is at full volume. Then, adjust volume level to your preference.
