Nancy Hope's Story | 1:25 |
Anita wanted to help friends and family create something special for her sister's 65th birthday. However, Anita and Nancy Hope lived in different cities and Anita didn't know all of Nancy Hope's friends. When a friend told her about VoiceQuilt, Anita knew it offered the perfect solution. Anita had some inspirational and funny e-mails that Nancy Hope had sent to her. Anita began by e-mailing everyone that had been copied on these e-mails, asking them to record a birthday message simply by calling a toll-free number. Then, Anita asked each e-mail friend to forward the request on to Nancy Hope's other friends.
Soon, messages began pouring in. Anita was amazed by how many lives her sister had touched. There were calls from co-workers, cousins, neighbors, golf and tennis friends and more. Anita learned something new about her sister with every message she heard. The end result was truly a quilt made of loving messages from the many people in Nancy Hope's life. In addition to being a fitting birthday tribute, the VoiceQuilt was a celebration of a lifetime of friendships.
