Lindsey O. recently celebrated her mother's birthday with a VoiceQuilt. Her mother was very touched and gave us permission to share her words of thanks to family and friends.
My sincere thanks to all of you! I can't begin to tell you how very much I appreciate the loving, hilarious, and meaningful messages you left me which were subsequently stored in a lovely cherry-wood “VoiceQuilt” that the kids presented to me for my 60th birthday. Listening to your messages caused me to reflect on my journey through life so far, making me truly aware of how fortunate I am to have been born into such a great family. I have been truly blessed with four wonderful sisters, terrific children, stepchildren, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and – to have acquired such a wonderful group of friends. But, most of all, your messages made me realize the impact we each leave on everyone we meet throughout our lives, without even realizing it. That said, I plan to focus on displaying a positive attitude as often as possible, to quit sweating the small stuff, to always be conscious of others' needs and, most importantly, to never take family or friends for granted!- Bernie M.
